Written Right: a writer's guide to more than writing

Well, this was an odd headline. A planned Manhattan display of a 200 pound, milk chocolate, nude, anatomically correct sculpture of Jesus has been cancelled. Though it's been touted as a Holy Week exhibition, I have to admit I see some of the points being made against the display. I never thought is was supposed to be an actual sincere event.

My main reason for feeling skeptical about the true value of such a sculpture is that the artist, Cosimo Cavallaro, is known for "food art" that is usually meant to be non-serious, often a joke.
