Renting computers
At our office here in NYC, we own all the computer equipment we use. Well, not us personally as in the employees, but the publisher. Our offices in other cites all use rental services to rent their computer equipment. As odd as that seems, they have much better upkeep and service for their equipment. It's rational for an office environment.
Our L.A. offices use a Los Angeles computer rentals company mostly because that office tends to do a lot of on-site training and meetings. They are the business-publishing side of our company and supply books and training for corporations on things like Positive Reinforcement in Management and Leadership. Heady stuff. Nonetheless, it beats lugging equipment from city to city and setting up and maintaining it ourselves.
